Charity Class: Surfers Against Sewage

Run or do other sports that make you feel tight and yoga impossible?! This workshop is for you!

Sunday 16th February 2020

Camyoga Mitcham's Corner, Cambridge

A special 90 minute Forrest Yoga Inspired & Yin class

Surfers against Sewage is a charity I have been personally donating to for many years now. Their values, ethics and concerns about the environment closely mirror my own. Simply put, we only have one planet, and SAS are working tirelessly towards so many initiatives to raise awareness and make change both on a community level and in Parliament. The projects they run such as Plastic Free Communities are a vitally important part of the work we all need to start doing to look after our planet. As a small charity, I know that any money donated will go directly to the projects SAS are working on as they do not have the overheads that larger, more commercial charities do.

Those of you who know me, know that last year I was aiming to run the Barcelona marathon and I had promised SAS I would fundraise for them. Then my ankle/stress fracture injury happened which meant no race and no fundraising. In place of this, I am fundraising for Surfers Against Sewage this year by running the Bath Half for them and the donations from this charity class will be added to this. I hope you’ll join me in supporting Surfers Against Sewage by donating and attending this class.

This 90-minute class will be a Forrest Yoga Inspired practice finishing off with some yin poses to relax and a restoring savasana. Suitable for all levels

Struggle Free Splits: A Journey not a Destination!

Sunday 22nd March 2020

Camyoga Central, Cambridge

The splits often tends to be viewed as either a pose favourite or an absolute nemesis!

As the saying goes – it’s all about the journey, not the destination, and this couldn’t be truer than when working towards splits. This workshop will break down how we sequence towards splits, exploring how we can work to where our body needs us to work, rather than pushing it to extremes. We will explore how staying struggle-free can help us better enjoy the journey we are on, as we get more rooted in the present and less distracted by the future.

This is an all-levels workshop and is suitable for both regular Forrest practitioners and those who practice other styles too.
